May 29, 2012 — Memorial Day Weekend, which marks the end of the regular club season, ended with several standout performances, including 10 Synergy teams in gold bracket playoffs in State College and Chicago.

Although several teams will continue to practice for national tournaments hosted by the Amateur Athletic Union and U.S.A. Volleyball, the regular tournament season ends for several teams. Congratulations to all the players, coaches and parents who made this one of the most successful seasons ever for Synergy volleyball.

12 Lehigh, ending a season filled with surprises and standout performances, placed 3rd at Happy Volley.
At the Sports Performance Volleyball National Junior Classic in Chicago, Synergy Orange teams finished near the top of the standings at one of the country’s most competitive tournaments. 15 Orange finished in a strong 7th place, losing to Illini Elite 15 Cardinal in a close three-set match, but ending on a high note with a win against Legacy 15-1. The 18 Orange won a quarterfinal against MVA Black but finished in 11th place after dropping a match to Circle City Purple. The 17 Orange defeated Wildcat Jrs. to take 14th place. The 16 Orange fought hard in their last match against Mintonette but came up short in a third-set tie break (15-25, 28-26, 15-11), landing in 28th place.

At the Penn State Happy Volley Club Championships, 17 Lehigh took silver after playing Revolution South White in the championship match.
14 Lehigh also won silver after competing against J-Stroke Joust in the final.
18 Navy finished in 3rd place, after its semi-final to Creole Big Apple.
13 Orange also placed 3rd after a decisive quarterfinal win against Maryland Juniors and dropping a fiercely contested three-set match to eventual tournament champion Downstate.
12 Lehigh also placed third, winning its quarterfinal but dropping a semifinal match to PVA.
15 Lehigh placed 5th, after dropping its gold quarterfinal against Downstate Black.
14 Orange, missing three players from its roster, also placed 5th, losing to J-Stroke in the quarterfinals.
13 Lehigh won the silver bracket finals against IPV, ending the tournament in 9th place.
15 Navy ended in 11th place, dropping its silver bracket semi-final to Replay Advanced.
16 Navy, playing with a diminished roster as a result of injuries, finished 13th, after battling in a close three-set match against Revolution East White (23-25, 25-14, 15-11)
14 Navy played strong in the Flight 1 quarterfinals, but dropped the match to Digs 14 Red.
