Alumni Highlight: Tori Hamsher

Victoria Hamsher courtesy of LehighValleyLive.com

Virgina Tech Freshman starter and recent Synergy Alum Tori Hamsher most recently helped her team to their first ever NCAA Division I Tournament appearance.  After seeing action in every set, of every match, Tori has amassed 165 kills, 46 digs, 10 service aces and hit .251 on the season. She proved to be a dominating force in the front row, as she finished second on the team in blocks, with 12 solo and 95 assists on the year.  Her presence at the net was officially acknowledged when she was named ACC Freshman of The Week back in October, and most recently, to the ACC All Freshman Team.  Tori has also captured the number 4 spot all-time in Tech’s freshman record books and is currently 28th in the nation among freshmen in blocks per set.

Congratulations to Tori on a fantastic year! She has made Synergy and PA very proud!  You can read more about Tori’s eventful first year at Virgina Tech in these stories at the Virginia Tech College of Engineering, Hokie Sports and ACC websites.
