Coach Mike Krause returns for his 4th year coaching at Synergy Lehigh after spending 3 years at Synergy King of Prussia. Currently, he is head coach for 2011 PIAA Girls State Champion Parkland High School volleyball, a position he has held since 2004. Coach Krause has a lengthy volleyball resume, and has coached club, high school and college volleyball for more than 30 years. He is an instructor at Volleyball Express, Pennsylvania State University’s Russ Rose volleyball camp, a position he has held since 1981. He worked as head coach of Muhlenberg College, Lehigh University and Kutztown University, and assistant coach at Muhlenberg, East Stroudsburg University, and Temple University. He has also served as head coach of girls volleyball at Trexler Middle School, William Allen High School, Emmaus High School, and head coach of boys volleyball at Dieruff High School and Allentown Central Catholic High School. He is a graduate of East Stroudsburg University, where he was a setter. Krause also serves as the analyst for the PIAA High School Volleyball Championships for the Pennsylvania Cable Network, where he has overseen 40 Boys and Girls State Championship matches since 2002. Last year his daughter Taylor Krause played for 17 Lehigh and Kristin Krause played for 14 Lehigh.
